Open House Events


This fall, discover the National Circus School!

On Saturday September 29th 2018, the school opens its doors to the public as part of the Journées de la culture, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m (schedule to be confirmed). This is a rare opportunity to witness the training of high-level circus performers in an international renowned School and experience the practice of circus arts!

On Saturday November 17th 2018, future candidates are invited to come to the School's open house event. It's a privileged occasion to attend information sessions on the various programs, visit the facilities, meet students and teachers and, for those interested, participate to a pre-selection. The Pre-Selection will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and registration is mandatory for this particular activity.

  • Journées de la culture (September)Open or Close

    The National Circus School opens its doors to the public as part of the Journées de la culture on September 29th 2018, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to witness the training of high-level circus performers in an international renowned School!

     

    A UNIQUE CHANCE!

    Come see the School in action and be the first to see extracts of the numbers that will be presented to the year-end shows, visit the various studios while our talented students are training and experience the practice of a few circus arts disciplines with our instructors.

    Free activities all day (no reservation needed):

    • From 11 am to 4 pm (continuous): visit the School and training facilities, information booth
    • At 12:30pm, 2 pm, 3:40 pm: performances of the future circus artists graduating next June (individual circus acts in creation)
    • From 1 pm to 1:30 pm : Introduction to Contemporary Circus, conference by Pascal Jacob

    School groups
    The School will also host school groups on Friday, September 29th. Reservations required at (514) 982-0859 ext 0 or asurarez@enc.qc.ca

    A visit to the School in the form of a guided  tour takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. Scheduled start times for each visit (to be confirmed): 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 1:20pm.

    Each group may consist of between 20 and 60 young people.We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes in advance.We look forward to welcoming you!

  • Pre-Selection Tour (november)Open or Close

The Pre-Selection will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and registration is mandatory to participate in the Pre-selection.

    Detailed Schedule:

    • 11:30 am: Begining of the Open House
    • 11:45 am to 12:30 pm: First information session concerning the following programs: Preparatory, Circus and High School Studies, Diploma of Collegial Studies
    • 12:30 pm to 1 pm: Guided visits
    • 1 pm to 1:15 pm: Performances of graduating students
    • 1:30 pm: Pre-Selection begins
    • 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm: Second information session concerning the following programs: Preparatory, Circus and High School Studies, Diploma of Collegial Studies
    • 2:45 pm to 3 pm: Performances of graduating students
       

    *All day long: visits and information booth about the programs.

National preselection tour

This fall, the School will visit several cities in a pre-selection tour in a cross-Canada quest for talented young people between the ages of 9 and 17.
