A major support from the Ministry of Culture and Communications to assist the development of circus practice in Quebec

The important role played by the National Circus School in its sector was been confirmed by the awarding of a grant in the amount of $1 million over five years. The funds will go towards promoting the practice of recreational circus arts with young people and advancing the offer of preparatory circus arts training in Quebec. The contribution was announced by Ms.

Update on the Berti Marques Case

It was through the media that the National Circus School learned that one of its teachers had been arrested on Thursday, May 10, and charged with criminal acts of a sexual nature allegedly perpetrated against a former student. The entire School community is profoundly shocked and upset by this news, and our thoughts are with our former student. Front-line services have been deployed to provide support to students and staff at the School.

The National Circus School receives new funding from the provincial government to support the development of circus practice

The National Circus School  greeted with enthusiasm news that the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications has awarded it $1 million over five years. This support will benefit the entire recreational and preparatory circus sector, and contribute to the transfer of expertise in pedagogy, risk management  and teacher training.

Medals and Prizes for our graduates at the Festival in Paris

It was another highly fruitful venture for seven National Circus School graduates, who triumphed at the 39th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain.  Held in Paris, this major international competition, an event often compared to the circus Olympics, each year attracts the most talented circus performers on the planet.

    The School at CIRCa Festival in France

    A group of four NCS students will have the chance to perform a work in southern France at the CIRCa Festival in Auch on October 26. Many contemporary European circus companies are in the spotlight at this festival, which also provides an important showcase for circus artists in training from internationally prominent and FEDEC member schools.
