Bank of Candidates for Teaching Position

The School regularly seeks versatile educators or artistic counsellors experienced in circus and performing arts to fill full or part-time staff positions or replacement contracts.

The School also seeks guest teachers specializing in certain circus disciplines to conduct intensive courses or workshops for advanced students and for trainers.

    The École nationale de cirque (National Circus School) is a non-profit private educational institution, with a primary mission to prepare circus artists. It offers secondary and college education to future artists, and training to prepare professional circus arts educators. The school provides its training in French, but also holds teaching licenses in English.
     
    We are currently looking for a French as a second language Teacher (College) – whose main responsability is to teach french as a second language.
     

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in teaching french as a second language, or training deemed sufficient and relevant.
    Experience in teaching french as a second language (College Level, an asset).
     

    Desired Characteristics

    Bilingual in French and English, an asset

     

    Salary and Benefits

    Salary and benefits according to current compensation policy at the École nationale de cirque (National Circus School).

     

    Employment Status

    Part-time, 5 hours per week at the French Language Center (CAF) and 6 hours per week to teach French as a second language (FLS). Schedule: Tuesday 3:40 pm to 5:30 pm, Thursday 3:40 pm to 5:30 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.
     

    Starting Date: the week of August 13, 2019.
