    Admission requirements

    • Excellent health (medical certificate may be required)

    • Successful completion of entrance examination

    • Completion of primary studies and successful completion of all levels preceding that to which the candidate wishes entry

    • Good academic standing

    PLEASE NOTE : to register online, you must have all the following documents, scanned :

    - One passport-sized photograph (JPEG)
    - A copy of your birth certificate with both parents' first and last name*
    - A copy of any certificates or transcripts confirming participation in an artistic or sports-related pursuit, relevant to School requirements*
    - A copy of your last report card from your last completed schoolyear

    All documents presented in another language than French or English must be accompanied by a translation.

    Complete your application form online in order to participate in the Entrance Examination and make sure to have all the required documents prepared in advance.
    The applicant must pay the $50 non-refundable fees for participation in the entrance examination.

  • Candidate ProfileOpen or Close

    The ideal candidate wishes to pursue the full advanced training necessary to become a circus artist.
    In order to achieve this goal, students must commit to an intensive preparatory training, in addition to primary or secondary studies.

    The candidate:

    • is 9 to 17 years old

    • demonstrates proficiency in the circus arts, dance, a martial art or acrobatic sport with an artistic component, such as artistic or rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, diving, figure skating, etc.

    • has developed physical and psychomotor skills such as coordination, spatial orientation, flexibility and body awareness and is in excellent health

    • is enrolled in another local primary or secondary school

    • is available evenings during the week and on Saturdays, is able to manage spare and travel time effectively

    • demonstrates determination, discipline and creativity

    Evaluation at any time

    A candidate demonstrating the required skills can be integrated at any time in the School's preparatory program. For the timeshare program an assessment may also be made before the request to the partner school.   • Canadian Preselection TourOpen or Close

    In the fall, the École nationale de cirque (National Circus School) will embark on a preselection tour in a cross-Canada quest for talented young people between the ages of 9 and 17. There will be stops in close to 12 cities coast-to-coast.

    The preselection tour is an opportunity for young people to have their potential evaluated and to meet the School's teachers, while also learning more about the programs and the life of a circus artist. For the list of cities visited and to register
