The CARP platform is a great online research tool for people working or studying in the field of circus arts and performing arts. In addition, CARP is: 

  • A directory of more than 120 researchers who work in the fields of literature, humanities, medicine, philosophy, etc., and whose research focuses on circus arts
  • An interactive map listing more than 200 documentary resources, including libraries, archives, museums and private collections relating to the circus arts
  • An international scholarly bibliography of more than 2,000 publications, including books and academic articles, and several thematic bibliographies dedicated to the circus arts
  • The latest research news, including calls for papers and contributions
  • A directory of other bibliographic resources, including various databases

Circus: Arts, Life and Sciences Journal

This transdisciplinary journal aims to share cutting-edge research and promote diverse practices in the circus arts. Each publication includes articles on topics related to contemporary circus and is divided into four distinct sections: Arts, Life, Science and Book Reviews.

In the Arts section, the texts published are in the field of humanities. The Science section includes articles from the scientific, technological and social sciences. The Life section is a hybrid space that brings together artists and researchers from all over the world and focuses on the visual and the movement. The Book Reviews section presents books on the circus with comments by specialists.
