Biography

Kayden’s acrobatic career began in diving, which he practiced for six years. During that time, he discovered circus somewhat by accident while looking for a place to work on his acrobatics and trampoline skills outside of diving. However, he quickly fell even more in love with circus than with diving.

In the summer of 2018, he was selected for the Nova Scotia Canada Games diving team, but was also accepted into the summer camp at the National Circus School (ENC). After much consideration, he chose to attend the camp. From that point on, circus became his life.

He spent the following year training Chinese pole on his own to gain admission to the ENC’s CES program. After two years specializing in Chinese pole, along with a one-year minor in hand-to-hand, he was accepted into the DEC program (Mise à niveau), where he completed an additional year of Chinese pole before beginning duo Chinese pole in DEC 1.

Over the next three years, he developed a unique acrobatic vocabulary with Madeline Haugen, combining Chinese pole, hand-to-hand, and Icarian games into a single discipline. He also trained in hand-to-hand, columns, banquine, and Russian swing as secondary disciplines.

He graduated from the National Circus School in 2025.
