The Board of Directors of the National Circus School of Montreal announces a change in its senior leadership. Executive Director Éric Langlois has decided to step down from his position in order to devote more time to personal projects. The Board wishes him every success in his new endeavours and warmly thanks him for his outstanding contribution to the development of the institution during his nine-year tenure as Executive Director of NCS Montreal, having been with the organisation since 2008.
To ensure an orderly transition, the Board of Directors has decided to maintain the co-leadership model currently in place with Olivier Leblanc, Director of Administrative Services, and Patrice Aubertin, Director of Research. They will continue to assume the responsibilities of the executive leadership, with the full confidence of the Board, over the coming months, a role in which they have excelled since beginning their mandate in July.
The Board of Directors would also like to reaffirm its full confidence in the entire staff and the management team, and assures that all activities will continue as normal. The whole team remains committed to providing a high-quality educational environment for our students and to pursuing the School’s role as a global leader in circus arts education.
As of January, the Board and the management team will also be working on the development of an innovative and inspiring strategic plan aimed at enhancing the organisation’s impact and long-term sustainability. This plan will take into account the realities, challenges and opportunities currently affecting the education sector and the performing arts.
