At the end of this training program, students will have acquired the necessary skills to professionally train apprentice circus artists. Employment prospects are varied, ranging from preparatory and higher education circus arts training to continuing education for professional circus artists.
This program is offered in French, either in person or online, and in English exclusively online. It leads to an Attestation of College Studies (AEC NRC.09) or a School Attestation of Studies (AEE). It is available in the following delivery modes and languages:

AEC – Trainer in Circus Arts | This program is recognized and accredited by the Québec Ministry of Higher Education. To obtain an Attestation of College Studies, international students must demonstrate a sufficient level of proficiency in French. |
Attestation of Studies from the School – Trainer in Circus Arts | The Attestation is not sanctioned by the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur du Québec. This program offers the same course grid as the AEC – Trainer in Circus Arts. |
The Circus Arts Trainer program consists of 765 hours of training, including 555 hours of coursework and 210 hours of internship. Students are responsible for securing their own internship placement.

To be eligible for the program, the individual must:
OR
Have interrupted full-time studies OR pursued full-time post-secondary studies for at least two consecutive semesters (or one academic year);
Have interrupted full-time studies for one semester AND pursued full-time post-secondary studies for one semester.
Note: To participate fully in online training, a basic knowledge of technological tools (Outlook, Teams, Zoom) is required.
All documents submitted in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by a translation.
International Students
Once admission to the Circus Arts Trainer in-person program has been confirmed, international students must promptly begin the process of obtaining the following documents:

Individuals enrolled in one of our full-time programs and who are Canadian citizens may apply for financial assistance from their respective provincial ministry.
