The Board of Directors of the National Circus School wishes to express its sincere appreciation for the commitment and exceptional contribution of three members who have left the Board following the most recent Annual General Meeting. Through their involvement, expertise, and dedication, they have each made a lasting impact on the institution. Over the years, their presence on the Board helped support the School’s educational and artistic mission, ensure its stability, and actively contribute to its growth and visibility.

CATHERINE LAURIN

A dedicated Board member since 2011, Catherine Laurin made a lasting mark on the work of the Board of Directors through her consistent involvement, rigour, and strategic vision. Her contribution was particularly significant within the Finance Committee, where her extensive expertise in investments, governance, and sound financial management helped ensure the strength and long-term sustainability of both the National Circus School and its Foundation.

Over the years, Catherine distinguished herself through her strong sense of responsibility, analytical skills, and deep commitment to the institution’s educational and artistic mission. The School and the Foundation are profoundly grateful for the exceptional leadership she provided throughout her mandate.

JEAN-BENOÎT HOUDE

A recognized professional in the field of communications, Jean-Benoît Houde enriched Board discussions with his strategic perspective and proven expertise in enhancing the visibility of NCS Montréal. Over his four-year term, he supported the School in the evolution of its communications initiatives, helping to strengthen the institution’s recognition and profile both locally and internationally.

CAROL O’SULLIVAN

Deeply rooted in the circus world, Carol O’Sullivan joined the Board of Directors in 2012, bringing with her extensive experience in philanthropy as well as a strong understanding of the arts sector. Carol’s daughter, Charlotte, is a graduate of the School who has enjoyed significant international success since the beginning of her professional career. Carol’s presence on the Board, along with her passion for issues related to the realities faced by the School’s graduates, greatly supported the Board’s work over the years.

The contributions of these three Board members will continue to inspire the Board’s work and support the development of the institution in the years to come. We wish them every success in their future endeavours and warmly thank them for their invaluable dedication and support.
