As part of the 35th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, on Sunday, January 26 in Paris, six 2013 graduates were awarded. Three numbers allowed five graduates to win a silver medal: Pierre-Antoine Chastang and Morgane Tisserand in dance trapeze, Kyle Driggs in juggling and Naomie Zimmermann-Pichon and Renaldo Williams for their hand to hand number. Jerome Sordillon also won a bronze medal for his aerial straps number. This year, a record number of seven School graduates were part of the competition.
The Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, one of the most prestigious circus competitions in the world, celebrates each year the talent of young circus artists from all continents. For this 35th edition, 24 numbers were selected among 300 candidates, participants coming from all across the globe. The National Circus School is not at its first winners, in fact over the years, more than 50 students and graduates of the School have distinguished themselves by winning forty medals and special awards, including 7 gold medals, six silver and nine bronze.
