This week, from October 20 to 27, the CIRCA contemporary circus festival in Auch (France) welcomes contemporary circus enthusiasts to its 36th edition. The program is rich, with over twenty shows presented under circus tents, indoors and in public spaces. It’s a must-see event in the circus world.

This year, Éric Langlois, Executive Director, and James Tanabe, Director of Studies, are on site to represent the NCS, but also to attend the various presentations offered throughout the event.

The NCS is also in the spotlight with a performance at the festival. Avant Novembre, a creation by Nicolas Boivin-Gravel featuring five of our final-year students Maya Cruch, Frédéric Langevin, Matthieu Larose, Pierre Domis and Chanel Monange, was presented as a part of the event.

Once again this year, NCS students took part in the TRACES challenge, initiated by FEDEC ( European Federation of Professional Circus Schools) as part of the festival. Philippe Gaglione produced a video on this year’s theme It’s all about Love, featuring our final-year student Alizée Poitreau on the swinging trapeze.
