Montreal, May 6, 2024 – The National Circus School (NCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marilou Cousineau to the position of Director of Education. She will assume her new duties on June 18, 2024. She succeeds James Tanabe, Director of Studies since 2021.

Marilou Cousineau, Director of Education

With 22 years of experience within the NCS, Marilou Cousineau has in-depth knowledge of the training programs, how they work and the high standards of the institution. Her expertise, rigor and boundless ambition for the NCS are all qualities she will bring to bear in her new role. Her unwavering commitment to the School, her passion for the circus arts and her deep respect for her colleagues and the student community make her an inspiring and valued leader.

The NCS would also like to salute James Tanabe for his great contribution as Director of Studies since July 2021. His benevolence, clear pedagogical vision and unparalleled leadership have enabled the School to weather a period of profound change while pursuing its excellence in teaching and supporting student success.
